A motorcycle trip in Norway

IS IT A HOUSE OR A WORLD?

Color notes of a motorcycle trip in Norway

I do not even know where to start. We arrived in Norway the day before yesterday morning after a "strange" start.

Strange because you decide to take a trip by motorbike and after crossing Switzerland, load the bike on the train and then on a ferry from northern Germany that takes you to Oslo. Arrive in Oslo and say: "But how? Was not it supposed to be a motorcycle trip? Why did I take sixteen other means of transport? "

Short digression on the train: to cross Germany from north to south with your own vehicle (car / motorcycle) and load it on the train thus avoiding hours and hours of German highway there are two trains. The first Lörrach / Hamburg and vice versa and the second Munich / Hamburg. It is necessary to reserve the car / motorbike space and berths in good time through the Deutsche Bahn agency in Italy. The train left at 9.15 pm, the boarding of the motorcycles started at 8.00 pm. And who were the last to arrive? Marco and I of course. There were very few other bikes besides us. We know another group of Italian guys going to Lofoten on a motorcycle, but with another round. Then a couple that will arrive up to the North Cape, but from Finland.

And these will be the only Italians we will meet until now. And maybe we should ask two questions ...

However, very comfortable train, we did not really want to cross Germany on the highway and the most precious thing in a trip is the weather . Fantastic solution. It starts at 21.15 and at 9.00 arrival. And then: have you ever left a station with the car or with the bike? We do! So cool!

A digression also on the Colorline ferry which is not a ferry, but a cruise. Bring the costume because there is also a kind of water park on board, then the cinema, the shops, the restaurants, the pub. The cabins are many beautiful. It starts at 14.00 from Kiel and at 10.00 the next morning we arrive in Oslo.

Even here who were the last two to arrive? Exactly, guess! In addition to us about twenty motorcycles, mainly Norwegians who return home on their BMW R 1200 - rightly a great way to travel - of the visibly well-equipped Swiss and the Germans with Yamaha vintage sofa model and millions of keys that you understand yourself what are they for? Maybe it's the remote control of the canvas as you're sitting on the couch. Marco and I are the only ones with colored helmets. The only sbrindelloni.

If you go there be patient because they take a lot to load the ship: first truck trailers, then trucks, then campers, then cars, then motorcycles and then cars again. Once you have loaded the bike you must tie it to the hooks on the floor with the ropes that the employees give you (while on the train we think the men to tie it).

The next morning we go down to resume the bike and who are the last two to arrive? Exactly, always us. Now we raise sympathy. They ask us where the hell we are going. They are quite impressed, but buttoned up by real Norwegians. The bike, even us, we could not wait to open the gas and run through woods and waterfalls. After two passport checks (the ID card is fine) and customs and anti-drugs dogs, we are running in the south of Norway, leaving from Oslo with a stop at Notodden for the famous wooden church and the way to Bergen.

Super demanding day. The road is all-dark, beautiful, very funny, but of those that you wear.

We take a few photos because getting off the bike harnessed by winter is really difficult. A firm.

We invented a lot of gestures Marco and I to tell us basic things. We have a gesture to say " this thing we are seeing is beautiful " or a gesture that signals the tail, is a C of tail, but also of construction site and begin for c even those who drive with c. In short, it's NOT a good sign. We had to invent it because between Switzerland and Germany we found 6 queues. "International feast of the tail" has renamed her Marco. Then we have the sign to stop and take the picture, to say " feel that it stinks " and I also have a signal to tell Marco " nice move that you did ". People who see us from the machines must think that we are really a bit of a hit.
