MountainMonday, Svarttinden in Lofoten, Norway.
When looking in my library for pictures to #MountainMonday by @keithboone I came over some pictures from a trip we did to Lofoten an August a couple of years ago. The name of the mountain in english is something like The Black peak. The hike start by the sea level and up to 736 m on the highest point. It is not so high but hiking in the steep mountains in Lofoten give a great view to lots of peaks around you.
Hope you enjoy some summer pictures from the north. Winter is nice but summer is even better.
We parked the car down by the house where the trail start.
View to the east and the mainland across the Vestfjord.
The mountain in the middle is called Hoven, on the top you have a great view to America :-)
The Gimsøy bridge. Lofoten have many island with bridges and tunnels between them. In the "old" days you had to take many ferries when driving to the end called "Å" in Lofoten.

Being above the clouds is an indescribable impression. Once I was above the storm, it was both fun and scary, at the same time)) Beautiful pictures. Juicy colors of Norway delight the eye.

I like #1, #4, #5 and #8 best. They've got the best compositions in my opinion. In #8, the tiny-looking bridge is the main subject. When you look down the valley and see the bridge, the sheer scale of the valley and the mountains really hit you.

Must have been a long and enjoyable hike! But you people with long legs usually walk so fast that I could not catch up! Been to a hike in Scotland during my college years, I was left at the end of the line!
