This is an another 2015 made documentary about fashion industry and it's evil side . But this one is a exact opposite of Hot Girls Wanted documentary. This is a prime example of how you should make a documentary. No bullshit, no weak content and straight to the point.

In first couple minutes we get some information about fashion and clothing. We learn how much world is in a wasteful state right now. After getting our necessary informations about the industry we straight dive in to asia and see how workers getting literaly taken advantage of. People literally working like slaves for next to nothing wages in inhumain conditions. Factory owners takes away from security to lower the cost of products in west and we are getting reminded of 2013 Rana Plaza collapse. Where over 1100 cheap labor worker died in Bangladesh while working under inhumane conditions. FOR YOUR CHEAP CLOTHES.

We get to meet some of the survivors and learn actually they had it nice (most of the workers work under more harsh conditions). And sadly this wasnt neither first tragedy nor will be the last.

After that shocking truth bomb we dive further in to the rabbit hole and see how we defile earth for more cheap cotton. "Shockingly" pesticides in soil isn't healthy for the locals.
We meet some of the disabled childs that born sick because of pesticides. After seeing them and their helpless families waiting their child die in young ages once again you look at your wardrobe with disgust.

The True Cost taught me about pesticede suicades in İndia. According to the documentary every 30 minute 1 farmer commits suicade because of their debts(First ı didn't believe this info and had to chech it online which was sadly real). And most of the time they find farmers in middle of their lands next to an empty bottle of pesticede. The debts?
They are made because of high costing seeds, pesticede and cottan prices going down everyday thanks to competition to lower prices of YOUR CLOTHES.

This documentary changes your view on one of the major parts of your life. It does very good job on delivering the horror that we dont see. Definetly the best documentry of 2015.

A MUST WATCH 9/10
