My Fair Lady (1964) by George Cukor (REVIEW)

in #movie5 years ago

Another good classical movie coming from 60's, for me personally I think that the most beautiful movies are made in 60's and later on in the 90's, those two decades have gave us a lot of classical movies that worth a lot and they are a real treasure that will be available for the future generations.

The content of this film I have seen copied or reworked in several series and films. A phonetics professor is betting that she can make a lady from a flower shop. So she starts to teach her about proper posture and, most importantly, proper speaking, as no one of the higher society would know where she originated.

Which means that you do not need any special knowledge or experience in anything to enter there except money. A cute movie, the professor is full of chauvinism, zionism and misanthropy, the girl is simple, which seems pretty cute, and so I would describe this film, sympathetic.
