State of Grace (1990) by Phil Joanou & Michael Lee Baron (REVIEW)
State of Grace (1990). One of the older crime movies with a great cast: Sean Penn, Ed Haris, Gary Oldman (fantastically played), John Turturro, Robin Right Penn (as you may see in this movie, Penn met his future wife).
Besides the cast, the movie is one of the best police-gangster stories, a real example of how such a movie should look like. An example that was later used by many other films on the subject.
I will not go into the movie, I do not want to spoil you. The less you know, the better. If you like movies like Godfellas, Heat, Donnie Brasco, on the law-mafia relationship, good-bad guys I recommend that you look at this movie.
