The rock

I love The Rock. It is unquestionably Michael Bay’s best film, but honestly, that’s not saying much, considering so many of his movies are awful. I absolutely love he plot of The Rock. It is about General and a large group of mercenaries take Alcatraz hostage. The government groups up Nick Cage, a group of Navy Seals, and the only man to escape the prison, to infiltrate Alcatraz. I’d like to start with Ed Harris’s character, General Hummel. He is one of the most sympathetic antagonist I have ever watched. The reason why he does what he does is completely understandable, and almost makes me want to root for him. Unfortunately he has a change of mind and is betrayed by some of the mercenaries. When they take charge, they are just flat out unlikeable. Nick Cage does an awesome job as Stanley Goodspeed, and Sean Connery is amazing. I absolutely love Sean Connery. The action sequences are awesome. The scene in the showers is intense, but also extremely sad. The final fights scenes are pretty cool, and so is the beginning base-infiltration scene when the mercenaries get the gas balls. And there definitely isn’t a lack of explosions, being that this is a Michael Bay movie. I love The Rock and give it an 8/10.

Urutan tindakannya luar biasa. Adegan di kamar mandi sangat intens, tetapi juga sangat menyedihkan.
