The mist

The Mist is a pretty good Stephen King adaptation. It’s about a mysterious mist that rolls in to a small town near a military base. People start dying in the mist, not because it’s toxic, but because of the creatures that are in the mist. It revolves around a group of people trapped in a grocery store. I really enjoyed watching this movie. It was intense, scary, and gruesome. There was also some funny scenes here and there. Thomas Jane has a stellar performance like usual. My favorite character l, Ollie, portrayed by Toby Jones is a complete legend. He is easily the most likable character and his death is one of the saddest. Some of the deaths in the movie are gruesome. The best one is the MP who bursts open with mutant spiders. The final deaths are crazy. The ending as a whole is crazy and easily one of the darkest ones I’ve scene. The special effects are pretty good. The CGI is slightly above average and the practical effects are good. Some of the mutant are really cool, my favorite being the spiders. Overall, I really like The Mist, and give it a 7.5/10.
