Jurassic Park III

Jurassic Park 3 is not very good. For some unknown reason, I used to really loved this movie when I was little, but now I understand how underwhelming it is, especially compared to the first two. Sam Neill comes back as Alan Grant, and his presence on screen just isn’t as good as in the original. William H. Macy’s character seems totally clueless, and I really just don’t like him. I think Eric Kirby, Paul’s son, is super annoying. And when he wards off the velociraptors is super dumb and unbelievably unrealistic. When Alan Grant blows into the model raptor jaw, it couldn’t believe how stupid that was. There was also some dumb subplots like the Kirby’s getting back together and, Billy and Alan’s conflicts with each other. Some of the CGI is pretty bad, but for the most part, it’s decent. Although, it’s not as good as the original. The practical effects are good, and they do blend nicely with the CGI. The spinosaurus was pretty cool, and it was a cool addition to the franchise. Overall, Jurassic Park 3 isn’t that good, and I give it a 4.5/10.
