I'm not a big fan of action movies, partly because of all the cliches you mentioned. However, I'd like to add that in some movies the hero sometimes does get wounded or maybe beaten, something that would put most humans out of action for quite some time, yet an hour later he's as good as new, ready to kick some serious ass. He's not even bruised, no black eye, no limping around. Superpowers!
