Shazam (2019 DC Movie)
Shazam is a DC Comics movie that was released in Nigeria on the 5th of April. It is a Fantasy/Science Fiction kind of movie with a run time of 2 hours and 12 minutes. Shazam has a current approval rating of 91% and as at April 7 the movie had grossed a worldwide total of $158.8 million against a production budget of about $100 million. Wow! Shazam is kinda like DC's version of Captain Marvel. But make no mistakes, Shazam the movie is nothing like the Captain Marvel movie...Lol.
Imagine a teenager who suddenly becomes a superhero and is yet to realize the extent of his powers but has to fight a horrific villain despite his childish thought patterns. It is a pretty delightful movie that would appeal to the child inside every adult. I loved it and I can't wait to see Shazam join in and team up with the rest of the Justice League. Imagining this man-child superhero defending the world alongside Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the rest already fills me with a tingling sense of excitement and anticipation!
We all have a superhero inside of us -- it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In 14-year-old Billy Batson's case, all he needs to do is shout out one word to transform into the adult superhero Shazam. Still a kid at heart, Shazam revels in the new version of himself by doing what any other teen would do -- have fun while testing out his newfound powers. But he'll need to master them quickly before the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana can get his hands on Shazam's magical abilities.
