2016 became one of the year in which the world's best films were released and has spread many flavors and inspirations. In just a matter of weeks, 2017 is ready to greet us with all the excitement and likes.

Before we are happy to welcome the new year, let's review some of the movies that go into the Best Based Movie 2016 list.

1. Love and Friendship

In the 18th century England, a widow asked for her friend's help in finding a man who wished to marry herself and her daughter.

"Love & Friendship" is a movie with the genre of drama-romance from the United States. The film, adapted from epistolary novels titled "Lady Susan" by Jane Austen is directed by Whit Stillman, who also acts as a screenwriter.

2. Zootopia

Modern metropolis mammals that live in the city of Zootopia make it an unequaled city.

Consisting of several habitats such as the luxurious Sahara Square and the cold Tundratown, it is a mixed-up place where animals from around the environment live together.

A place where no matter who you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest mouse, you can be anything you want to be.

But when the optimist Judy Hopps arrives in town, he finds that being the first rabbit in a big police force and being a tough animal is not easy.

Disney animated movie this one was never appeared before a poster, and a clue to the arrival of Zootopia film itself.

3. Moonlight

Moonlight tells of Chiron, a young man who came during the War on Drugs in Miami.

Organized in three different time periods, Chiron tried to fight against the worsening life of his house and deal with his sexuality.

The film, starring Naomie Harris and Mahershala Ali turned out to win six nominations in the Golden Globes award in 2017, occupying the second position that dominated the list of nominees after La La Land movie.

The six nominees are: Best drama film, Best male supporting actor (Mahershala Ali), best supporting actor (Naomie Harris), Best director (Barry Jenkins), Best Screenplay (Barry Jenkins), and best music soundtrack (Nicholas Britell).

4. Do not Think Twice

When a group of people in New York's popular comedy group lose the job contract, one of them gets a job offer on a hit television show.

Suddenly it creates jealousy among the group's friendship. Other members began to realize that not all of them will succeed.

Interestingly, the film was written and directed by Mike Birbiglia who is also a player in the movie Do not Think Twice this.
The film earned revenues of US $ 92.835 or equivalent to 1.2 billion Rupiah in the first week of its US audience.

The film also became the film with the highest gross revenue (gross) in 2016, beating the record made in the previous week by the Café Society ($ 71,858). The record was later defeated back in October by the Moonlight film ($ 100,519).

5. Hunt for the Wilderpeople

A national manhunt was assigned to search for a naughty child and his adoptive uncle who was lost in New Zealand's wild bush.

The film broke the record as the number one movie in New Zealand with revenues of US $ 1,320,000, equivalent to 17.1 billion Rupiah at its opening, and became the number one film in 88 theaters.

In addition, Hunt for the Wilderpeople also became the film with the largest revenue in the first week of screenings.
