Development of Avatar began in 1994, when Cameron wrote an 80-page treatment for the film. Filming was supposed to take place after the completion of Cameron's 1997 film TITANIC, for a planned release in 1999 but, according to Cameron, the necessary technology was not yet available to achieve his vision of the film. 

So after releasing the new idea film, AVATAR achievement 1st rank in top successful movies.  

Total worldwide earning of this movie is $2,787,965,087.

   TITANIC: (1997) 

Directed, written, co-produced and co-edited by James Cameron. 

Cameron's inspiration for the film came from his fascination with shipwrecks, he felt a love story interspersed with the human loss would be essential to convey the emotional impact of the disaster. Production began in 1995, when Cameron shot footage of the actual Titanic wreck. The modern scenes on the research vessel were shot on board the Akandemik matislav keldysh  , which Cameron had used as a base when filming the wreck. 

It's another success for Cameron after AVATAR. That the movie take 2nd position in top successful movies list.

 TITANIC worldwide earning is $2,187,463,944.  

   STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS (2015) 

Directed, produced, co-written by J. J. Abrams. 

Star Wars: The Force Awakens was widely anticipated, and Disney backed the film with extensive marketing campaigns. It premiered in Los Angeles on December 14, 2015 before its wide release in the United States on December 18. The film received positive reviews from critics. 

After releasing the new idea of films. STAR WAR become the 3rd successful movie. 

The worldwide earning of the new idea is $2,068,223,624.    

   JURASSIC WORLD: (2015) 

Directed, co-written by Colin Trevorrow, and produced by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley. 

Universal Pictures intended to begin production on a fourth Jurassic Park film in 2004 for a summer 2005 release, but the film entered over a decade of development hell while the script went through revisions. Following a suggestion from Spielberg, writers Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver explored the idea of a functional dinosaur park. Once Trevorrow was hired as director in 2013, he followed the same idea while developing a whole new script with Derek Connolly. Principal photography. 

So after record breaking release, the film take 4th position in top successful movies list. 

Total worldwide earning of this movie is $1,671,713,208.  

   AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (2018) 

Produced by Marvel studio. 

The film was announced in October 2014 as Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1. The Russo brothers came on board to direct in April 2015 and by May, Markus and McFeely had signed on to write the script for the film, which drew inspiration from Jim Starlin's 1991 The infinity gauntlet  comic and Jonathan Hickman's 2013 Infinity  comic. In 2016, Marvel shortened the title to Avengers: Infinity War. Filming began in January 2017 at Pinewood Atlanta Studio in Fayette County, Georgia, and lasted until July 2017, shooting back to back with a direct sequel. Additional filming took place in Scotland, England, the Downtown Atlanta area, and New York City. With an estimated budget between $316-400 million, it is one of the most expensive films ever made.

Total worldwide earning of the movies is $1,607,540,130.
