Australian 7 point Highlander (Magic the Gathering format)

For the good part of the last fifteen years Australia has had it's own Magic: the Gathering format known as Highlander. Since the inception of other Highlander variants it is now more commonly known as Australian Highlander or 7 Point Highlander. Here is a quick primer on the format and hopefully some of you out there like the sound of it.

So as a highlander format the rule is there can be only one. Only one copy of any particular card (except basic lands) and all cards legal in the Vintage format are legal in 7 Point Highlander. But in the thinking of George Orwell, while some cards are equal, some are more equal.

Vintage is known for its powerful cards, so in order to keep the format's power in check certain cards have been allocated points. Any player is allowed to spend seven points worth of these powerful cards for their deck.
