Amazing discovery along the banks of the River Severn!

Usually, we go into the mud to find interesting things. In this video, we didn't have to get our wellies muddied, as the things we went looking for were so big that we could easily reach them from the grassy bank!

Purton hulks is an amazing place where the river was eroding into the land and threatening to breach the side of the canal. With man's ingenuity and the structure of some old boats, the canal was saved.

For me, the most interesting thing was discovering just what some of the boats were made of!
