The effective preservation of mummies in Egypt is mostly done when a dead body is required to be embalmed or preserved through a process known as mummification.

One of the reason why Egyptian mummification is effective is because the moisture present in the dead body is first eradicated or removed completely leaving a dried form that will not decay easily. In this process, we can infer that the removal of moisture present in the body is a very important factor to consider when mummification is done.

Another reason for their effective mummification is due to the nature of their environment which is the scarcity of rainfall because the place always contains dry sand and dry air. This two factors plays a major role in preserving the dead body. A Pratical example can be observed when we decide to preserve our fish or meat either by sun drying or smoking. During this process, the moisture present in the meat or fish escapes due to the high temperature subjected to the fish or meat and this enables it to last for several months because u becomes solid and very hard in which you have to soak or boil before cooking. The same approach is adopted when it comes to their temperature. This has really favoured their mummification process.

Lastly, the removal of some parts of the body such as the brain has also enabled the process to be very effective.

Thanks for reading and I hope this helps.
