Chevrolet Corvette Roadster
The first Corvette model C1 was introduced in early 1953 und until August 1962.
The light body made of fiber-reinforced plastic material was maintained until today, mainly to reduce weight. During the production period of almost ten years the C1 design was reworked several times and the car was equipped with more and more powerful engines. But only after it was equipped with a powerful V8 engine in 1955, the Corvette became a real success. The very rare Corvette shown here still features the single headlights of the first two production years. It is the very first Corvette equipped with a V8 engine. In 1994 the car was completely restored.
