Meaning of Smiles in Arhat’s Face, in the National Museum
It seems there are lots of kinds of smiles in us.
Up until looking around the exhibition of the 5 hundreds stone arhats, I didn’t realize there were so much kinds of expressions in our face.
The expressions made me think the evolution of Human species followed how to make expressions and how to read those expressions.
If we failed the meaning of the expressions of your boss in our job, you could fall into the difficulties.
In this post, I’d like to show smiles of arhats.
It looked same smiles, but there seemed lots of difference in their smiles.

It was dark in exhibition room. So it was not easy to focus the camera lens on the arhats.
Besides carrying the tripod was banned in the room. I used the monopod though, focusing was not easy.
Anyway, do you read the subtle differences of Smiles ?

@slowwalker, Yeah...smiles change positively our life. If someone show his face expression like cruel automatically our mind don't like it. These Arhat's smile face inspiring me lot. Here's massive meaning indeed. Amazing creativity of mason's.
Indeed they have different smiles.
The first arhats seems like a happy smile, one looks like an irony smile and I see one chill satisfaction smile too.
Great pieces of art and definitely shows us how we can change our smile according to the situation and our mood.

think the smiles on the Arhat’s Face, like you said it's an Evolution of smiles I wanted to think there are so many ways through which people can smile and Express happiness and when I look at their faces I see Different Kind and facts that totally shows that happiness has different level and 5th picture basically has the best of smiles. What an amazing camera capture by you it's very beautiful
