Today we are going to learn about the minor scale. Starting from the sixth degree in the major diatonic scale, its relative minor arises, which in the Greek modes is known as Eolic Mode, gives rise to a new structure with its own sound qualities and characteristics, which is then transformed into a minor harmonic and minor melodic. To the structure of the minor eolic relative scale, when the seventh degree was altered by a semitone, resulted in the minor harmonic scale; later, the sixth grade was altered by a tone and a half, thus obtaining the minor melodic variant.

In the musical compositions always ends integrating the altered sounds of the three mentioned variants, that is why it produces a structure of smaller integral scale of nine sounds, to organize the minor tonality within a just octave.
