The mantra is a tool of the mind. Spiritual practice that helps in life

in #musiclast year

A mantra is a syllable or phrase associated with spiritual practice. Mantras are usually repeated aloud or silently in your mind, but they can also be written and drawn on objects or rotated in prayer drums.

Mantras originally originated in early Hinduism, and later their use was also adopted by Buddhists, Jains and Sikhs.

The Sanskrit word MANTRA consists of the root MAN- ("mind") and the ending -TRA (tool). Thus, direct translation is a tool of the mind.

Perhaps the most famous of the mantras is the syllable OM (AUM), which, according to the Vedic scriptures, means the universe or the source of everything, Brahman.

Another famous mantra is the Hare Krishna mantra. It consists of the names of God Hare, Krishna and Rama. According to the Vedic scriptures, this mantra helps a person to remove lust, anger, greed, envy, delusion and madness from the heart and awaken the dormant love of God in the heart. There are also many other mantras in Hinduism, such as "om namo bhagavate vasudevaya" ("I humbly bow before Vasudeva, the abode of all riches") and "vaishnavanam yatha sambhu" ("Lord Shiva is the best servant of Vishnu").

The most famous of the Buddhist mantras is OM MANI PADME HUM. The intonation of some Buddhist mantras changed as the religion spread from one language area to another.
