Vlasto a Sacharíny - Some Music Today (and some thoughts about new lens)
Vlasto a Sacharíny - Live at Jarmočisko Vojvodina pub
The band name is Vlasto a Sacharíny (Vlasto and the saccharines), first name was Vlasto and the sweets but singer has diabetes so he can't eat sweets (weird joke but it was his idea :) )
So that day was a bit crazy from me. I had a accountant seminar in the morning and as i was close to Novi sad i decided to go and test used Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6. I was planning to buy wide lens for a while now but never got a budget for it. The lens was like brand new so i ended up buying it. As it was already late i decided to go straight to the gig.
This was first time i used a wide lens and i like the perspective. My only problem with it is that aperture is not so great, f/4.5 is not the best for low light situations. Lens if all made of plastic but it is quite good for the price (200eur). Thing i like is stabilisation, it works great for video recording.

Fun fact: drummer that plays at the beginning and end of the video does not own a drum set :)

Hey this is some great band photography! Love the emotion you captured from the lead singer in these pictures. I really got a feel for the venue as well. Good choice on going black and white for these I think. The video was nice, the sound was surprisingly well balanced.

thanks. my theory is that you have to care about the subject to make a good photo. this are all my friends and we work together on video/music project and i think that you can see that in photos. Every time i am surprised by the sound that Canon 80d captures, especial on this kind of live performance. I did the settings manually but i am still surprised.
