West Coast Artist Nipsey Hussle Partners With Atlantic Records

Nipsey Hussle is progressing through plenty of changes lately.

Last week, the 31- year old west coast rapper announced on twitter that he was breaking up with the mother of his son, which has been his girlfriend of four years, Lauren London.
Today, Billboard reported that his label "All Money In" and the long time indie artist are partnering up with Atlantic Records.

Nipsey said, “It’s not about a fame ambition or getting a radio record. The decision really came down to the message I’m trying to get across. I wanted to give that message the best chance to be heard and consumed on the highest level. That was my goal from the jump as "All Money In" took time to build its position in the hip-hop lane.”

Partenrship terms have not been disclosed yet, but the first prime order of business will be to distribute and promote Nipsey Hussle's debut album "Victory Lap," which is anticipated to release in the first half of 2018.

All Money In and Nipsey made names for themselves with their innovative way they marketed and sold Nipsey's 2013 mixtape "Crenshaw" and his 2014 project "Mailbox Money." Nipsey Hussle was able to sell 1000 limited edition copies of Crenshaw for $100 each and "Mailbox Money" was sold for $1000 each which only 100 copies were made.

Atlantic records is honored and thrilled that Nipsey Hussle chose them as his home label, and they stated, “Nipsey is not only an extraordinary MC but a true visionary and innovative entrepreneur," Atlantic Chairman/CEO Craig Kallman and Chairman/COO Julie Greenwald said in a joint statement. "Over the past seven years, he has built an incredible brand that reflects his independent, non-traditional approach to what it means to be a creative artist in the modern music marketplace. "
