"ROCK IN BORNEO" The Biggest Rock Concert in Borneo
Rock In Borneo is the biggest rock concert in Borneo which performing local and international rock and metal bands. Originally this concert was named Kukar Rockin Fest because this concert was held in Kukar (Kutai Kartanegara) district, and in January, 9th 2016 Kukar Rockin Fest Event Manger, Akbar Haka decided that Kukar Rockin Fest will be renamed to be Rock In Borneo. In a Press Release spread by the power of social media owned by Distorsi Rockaholic Company and followed by Netizens, Akbar Haka stated this name change as well as widen the name "Kukar Rockin Fest" officially became "Rock In Borneo" with the aim of appreciating the spirit of the audience who every year come from all over Borneo.
Kukar Rockin Fest first started in 2012 featuring Sepultura as the headliner. Besides Sepultura in 2013 to 2015 Kukar Rockin Fest in succession featuring international bands such as Helloween, Testament, and Firehouse every year. In 2016 when renamed to Rock In Borneo, Michael Learn To Rock (MLTR) become the headliner. And last year in 2017 Skid Row become the headliner of Rock In Borneo 2017.
Rock In Borneo is the most rock music event in waiting by the Borneo people every year. About 70.000 people come to this event in 2017 which indicates that most of the Borneo people are very interested and enthusiastic about this event. Not just from Borneo, some of them come from Java, Sulawesi and another island out of Borneo. Aside from that, Rock In Borneo is the only one free entry big rock music concert in Indonesia. I always came to this event every year, because i'm the big fans of rock and metal music.
Besides International band, Rock In Borneo featuring the famous local rock and metal band such as Jamrud, Power Metal, Revenge The Fate, Kapital, Hellcrust, etc. If you the the big fans of rock and metal music, you must come to this event.
