The music in the last decades has had a quite wide evolution, thanks to the different platforms that have been created over the years, giving diffusion to quantity of artists so that they spread their music all over the world. From this comes the fusion of many musical genres and the appearance of many others. Bringing this as a result that each day is more difficult to compose something original because almost everything in one way or another is already invented and largely merged into music today.

For a popular musician more than for a classical musician, it is very difficult to make a composition and it does not sound like a song that is already introduced in the music market, since in 2018 there is popular music in its highest expression, music popular has invaded the whole world and much of the world's population makes music, for that reason the great current musical expansion. On the other hand, the technology boom that allows and supports in an extraordinary way the diffusion of music throughout the world, so it is even easier to listen to the song of any artist with just a click and In the same way, it is just as easy to share your own music with the rest of the world.

At the moment in which a composer begins to create a work of whatever genre, it may begin with a letter or a melody, after having the main idea comes the complicated part that is to add the rest of the parts (the accompanying instruments depending on the case that is). An important part of music is harmony, since it is in almost all musical composition, it stands out that all harmonic circles are already used in all without exception in the songs of popular music, so it is difficult to play something in a harmonic instrument that does not sound familiar or that the mind relates it to some other song that I hear at some other time. And not only in the harmonic, in the rhythmic part is the situation even more complex since the rhythmic bases of popular music have long been the percussion instruments, which as its name indicates are executed by means of blows, then the Percussion in most cases is the one that stands out in what musical genre the song is.

Since the 20's the acoustic drums have been played in the same way to the present, the only thing that has changed or have changed are the genres that are played with it, such as the bossa nova that is a derivative of the samba and the jazz, the drums in this case fuse the compasses of jazz with samba give a quite peculiar and very Latin sound unlike jazz.

Another instrument that has evolved in an incredible way and perhaps the most used in these current fusions is the guitar, the guitar is currently used in almost all musical genres, thanks to so many fusions that have been made. The guitar is used in all musical genres thanks to its versatility since it can be used as an accompanying harmonic instrument as well as a melodic instrument featured in a song. This instrument took hold of popular music in the early twentieth century exactly in the decade of the 20's with jazz and blues and since then the guitar has been used in all musical genres.

The piano like the guitar has had an extensive use in popular music since even before the guitar. The use of the piano in popular music comes in the 1890s with the Ragtime in New Orleans, this genre was one of the founders of jazz and since then the use of this instrument has evolved in such a way that with it as well as the guitar, almost all musical genres are performed with him.

The core of all this is the great generalization that is currently experienced in music, since any musical genre can be interpreted in any instrument without any impediment and this gives way to a great variety of fusions and musical styles. From playing joropo Venezuelan with an electric guitar (a very peculiar case but that many musicians have already done) to playing reggae with organ, which had its beginnings in music in the seventh century and was used only in churches to accompany ceremonies.

This is how difficult it is to create something original that does not sound like something already known or heard before. The amount of music that comes out to the world each day is more than 100,000 songs, which reduces the chances of creating something that does not sound like any of the millions of songs in the world, all of them harmonically classified but always with the same harmonic circles, the same rhythmic figures, few are separated from the instrumental performance that in itself is already tattooed in the conscience of the modern musician.

Popular music has evolved immensely since its inception in the late nineteenth century, from the blues, jazz, rock and all genres that were subsequently derived throughout history to reach the present in which there are hundreds of musical genres and if someone wants to compose his work, it will in one way or another end up classifying in one of those hundreds of musical genres that exist. This should not be seen as an obstacle that stops creation, but on the contrary it should be the resource to create and innovate in music, to innovate in instrumental performance, to create new ways to play musical instruments, to find new forms of harmony, new melodies, new sounds, because music itself is infinite.
