Music Alphabet - B - Backseat Education

In 80's so called Hair Metal ruled. Bands like Mötley Crüe, Ratt and many others created musically visually a lot of material that today, in the politically correct era, would be considered as sexists, misogynist and machoistic, though not always the lyrics crossed the border of good taste, as the visual support of the music did.

Let's take a look at a few quotes from this period:

Yankee girls you just can't be beat
But you're the best when you're off your feet - Mötley Crüe - "Girls, Girls, Girls" (1987)

or

Slip slip
Slip of the lip
I like the way you move your hips
Loose lips
Sink ships
The way you move, you don't miss - Ratt - Slip of the Lip (1986)

And then... a guy named Mark Manning came. He was a graphic artist in several pop/rock music magazines and he decided that he wants the hedonistic life of rock stars too!
So, he adapted an alter-ego "Zodiac Mindwarp", an ultra-sexist macho type and formed a band Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction.
Everything about the band mocked the hair metal of that period. Ridiculous lyrics were parody and the visuals took the characteristic macho glam rock star to the extreme.

Backstreet Education is the second single from the debut LP Tattooed Beat Messiah. It reached #49 in the UK charts.
It is very representative example of the band and it is a big question whether such music, as satiric as it is, would be allowed today in the mainstream media.

What do you think, is this too much or we just became oversensitive in the modern era?
