Van Halen - Jump

"Jump" is a song recorded by the hard rock group Van Halen. It is the only single of the group released in his career to have reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. It was published in 1984 as the second track on the album also called 1984.

The song breaks the mold of the first songs of Van Halen, mainly by the use of a rolling synthesizer (an Oberheim OB-Xa), although the song maintains the same style used by Eddie Van Halen for the guitar solos. The guitarist himself was also the interpreter and creator of the synthesizer lines.
