Welcome to another Metal Weekend! I have some (relatively) new releases for you.
Riverside - Vale of Tears
The Polish Progressive Metal/Rock band Riverside released their new album Wasteland in September 28th, 2018. This album marks a slight return to their Second Life Syndrome sound, probably due to their grief for the loss of their guitarist Piotr Grudziński, who died in 2016.
Royal Hunt - A Million Ways To Die
A Million Ways To Die, out of Cast in Stone, released in February 21st, 2018. This is the discographic return of Royal Hunt after 2015's Devil's Dozen.
Barren Earth - The Ruby
Barren Earth is a Progressive Death Metal supergroup, formed in 2008 by Olli-Pekka Laine (Bassist of Amorphis) with members including Marko Tarvonen (Drummer of Moonsorrow), Sami Yli-Sirniö (Guitarist of Kreator) and others. So far they have released 4 full-length albums, and they are all masterpieces. The Ruby is the second track of their latest album Complex of Changes that was released in March 30th, 2018.

Poem - False Morality
Poem is a Greek Progressive Metal band. I saw them live when they played in Thessaloniki with Leprous back in 2015 and I liked them. The song False Morality is the opening track of their latest album, Unique that was released in February 23rd, 2018.

Royal Hunt still exist?? I was listening to them through mp3s we downloaded overnight with a lousy internet connection -- "Message to God" was my favorite. Also lots of Savatage back then, my favorite LP was Streets and this song: (αχ, ημουν νιος και γερασα!)
Dial up connections for the win! I remember trying to download mp3s and my parents just picking up the phone just before the transfers were complete.. Major bummer! 😂
Yes! I was fed up with this, and unplugged the phone when I wanted to use the internet with my 2400 baud Modem. Even a JPG of 500KB size was considered "huge" back then. Anyway, after I saw your post yesterday I spent 3 hours listening to Savatage, Dream Theater, Symphony X and... Running Wild!
