Outre „Hollow Earth”
gt.jpg

We've been hearing about the new full Outre material for a long time. However, a lot of time passed from the first rumors to the moment when "Hollow Earth" appeared in my player. I didn't have any special expectations. But I was curious how their work would develop and which way they would go.

Certainly, working on "Hollow Earth" was easier than in the case of "Ghost Chants", because the guys made a full-time throat at last. But is it better or worse? The train is still on the same track, but in a slightly different direction. The guys already have a well-developed style. It's hard to make a mistake. They are very recognizable in the Polish backyard. This is a plus. This style was formed and established on "Ghost Chants" and the musicians decided to keep emphasizing it. Although I have an impression that this album is much more death metal. More intense moments, fast cannons and destructive accelerations than on the previous album. "Ghost Chants" was much more balanced, calmer and more atmospheric. On "Hollow Earth" we have what in the metal world is called "napierdalanie". I took a long time to find out why the second material didn't sit down from time to time compared to the first one, which I liked from the first listening. The answer is probably in intensity. When playing long-play number two, you should focus on the album, devote more time to it, penetrate into the sounds that gradually discover their qualities. The debut material was a lot of hits (in the positive sense of the word). It was ensured by clear vocals, which we have on "Hollow Earth" as a cure. Specifically, you can catch some whispers sunk deep in the viscera of this music and the last issue, the title track, "Hollow Earth", contains these pure parts literally a few. It's a really decent album, but I liked the previous material more. Maybe with time it will change, it will even out....
