Music Challenge Day 2: A Song That Reminds Me of My Most Recent Ex-Girlfriend

Hello guys, if you've been following my blog, you'd already know that I joined the 25 days long #MusicChallenge. Today (Day 2), i'll be writing about a song that reminds me of my most recent ex-girlfriend.The fact that it's about my most recent ex narrows it down a great deal.

Truth is, i don't even have to think twice about about this one, because without doubt, it is Rihanna's 'Only Girl'

Why Rihanna's Only Girl (In The World)?

It's a kinda funny story though...i still smile each time hear the song.
It's about this girl that I met early last year. We met in school, and got talking. She thought that I was cool, and I thought likewise of her, and we sort of hit it off. We began hanging out a lot, but as friends though. Long story short, one thing led to another, and I felt like I needed something more. Problem was, for some reason, I couldn't tell if she wanted the same thing. I guess I was a bit scared, in my head i was like...things will get super awkward if she says no!

So I started tasting the water, and I was actually getting positive vibes from her. So I finally decided to ask her out.
I was just waiting for the right moment, but it simply refused to come! So I decided to create the right moment myself.

I invited her over to my place one evening. I cleaned everywhere, changed the sheets, selected the right songs to set the mood... I just tried my best to make everything magical. And it was perfect! Then she called to cancel at the last minute. I couldn't believe it, but I still pressed on.

This time, I took her out for dinner at a fancy eatery. Since we've been doing that, there was nothing awkward about it. Everything went to plan, and I knew that it was finally happening. Then two of my friends walked in, and seeing us came over to say hi. To my surprise, or should I say shock, she told them to join us and they foolishly agreed!
There and then, I just told myself that this shit ain't happening!

On our way back, shit got real!

We took a bus back. Just so you know, in Nigeria, if you are in the mood to get uncomfortable, try using public transport. So I still find it hard to believe what happened during the 15 minutes we spent on that bus!

We were sitting at the back of the bus. The car stereo was tuned to a certain radio station and Rihanna's "Only Girl" was playing...and she was singing along softly...

I don't know how it happened, all I know is... I leaned over and out of nowhere whispered into her right ear "I want to be that guy"
"what?" is what I could make out from what she said. And I couldn't make out her countenance, since it was a bit dark.
It seemed to have worked and I pressed my foot on the gas. Lol.

"Lemme me be that guy that makes you feel like you're the only girl in the world"

And she said "wow", and I went all in for the kill!

Spontaneously, I went for a kiss, kissed her and she responded.

Just like that, Rihanna had given me a girlfriend!

So tell me, is it possible to ever hear " Only Girl" without remembering her?
