ALBUM REVIEW :: DRAKE (SCORPION) :: BREAKDOWN/THOUGHTS @EDGARSTUDIO

Drake drops his newest album Scorpion, June 29th, ironic since that is my birthday. And that is aside from Jay-Z releasing, 444, which is the same address i had lived in for over 20+ years. There is no doubt I was going to listen to this new drake album but i didn't rush into it because i wanted to sit back and wait for the right time to listen in. Here are my thoughts on the tracks, and shed some light to all those lover/hater Drake fans.

All in All, i really like the new drake album. That is with a handful of tracks skipped, a total of 4 songs to be exact, (Elevate, Peak, Summer Games, Thats How You Feel). Again this is my sole critique and i can actually appreciate something about all of the songs. But these are the weakest links in this album to me BUT that still means that 21 out of 25 are good tracks that you will like or at least it will grow on you the more you listen to it. Drake's music tends to have that effect on people. By those standards, Drake's Scorpion is rated a solid B.
That is Good!

The ones that i do like on Scorpion are indeed fire. (Nonstop, God's Plan, Can't Take A Joke, Talk Up, Is There More, Nice For What, In My Feelings, Finesse, Don't Matter, After Dark, March 14) You see, this list is much longer and that is with me consolidating the list to the bangers. It may sound like his old or new style but i feel like it is true to himself which I can appreciate. Especially with all the baby mama drama he has been going through. I mean who wouldn't explain their true feelings about the whole situation. Especially if you are one of the most famous rap artist of all time. Lastly, shout out to his best friend/engineer/producer, 40 Noah Shebib for creating another audio masterpiece with Drake.
