'Balure' - New Original Music/Song Idea! Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough!
This is from
a couple of days ago, and originally didn't have any drums except for little hi-hat sounds that we begin with. However, I went back in yesterday before posting it to Soundcloud and added the kicks and the fade outs in both hihat and kick tracks. It really made the song a lot more interesting, before it just didn't feel complete enough. Let's go through it!
Listen to Balure here.
Tracks 1 and 2 provide
the spacey, ambient backing in the whole song, with Track 1 swelling in and out 2x throughout the tune. Track 3 is the hihats, which came from a kick I hadn't ever used until a few days ago when I found it. Track 4 is our bass line, which is such a cool sounding instrument. Also from a set I didn't know I had up to a couple of weeks ago. The screenshot below shows the complete bass line, all 4 green sections.
Track 4, described above.
Listen to Balure here.
Tracks 5 and 6, described below.
Tracks 5 and 6 provide
the little melody line, pictured above. We are in Eb minor, but the second note of the full progression is a G natural, which really made the melody a lot more interesting. It comes in again at the end of the 4th measure, which sounds a lot darker and more dissonant in the context it's in. Track 7 is the electric piano that comes in with Minor 2nd interval, which has a great buzziness to it. Finally we have Track 8, which begins with our constant kick rhythm, then picks up a bit with added hihats and snares.
I hope you enjoy today's song and found the walkthrough interesting! Thanks for listening!

Do you work / study music. @grapthar
I did study it in school, I am not in school for music now though. But I study on my own and practice guitar a lot. Not working really, although I would like to get into session gigging.
Oh. Truly many of your talents are really about this.
Thanks! I try hehe.
