'Geometrism' - New Original Music/Song Idea! Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough!
I'm not sure I would consider
this a complete song, as it's essentially just building more and more on top of the same bass line, but I liked the rhythm and the general idea, so I'll probably expand this into something more, and add some variation. The rhythm is based off the bass line, which I began with, which is basically a measure of 9, and a measure of 7 each time (which is just 4 bars of 4/4, subdivided differently). Let's go through it!

Track 1 is our bass line,
and is also what the 'guitar' parts in Tracks 3 and 4 are based on. Basically, it just hangs out around a G (the minor V in our key, Cminor), using F and Ab as passing tones. Track 2 is our drums, which also follow the rhythm of the bass, with a cool little stutter on beat 9, where the bass rests.

Track 4, the harmonizing line over Track 3.
Track 4, the harmonizing line over Track 3.Next is Tracks 3 and 4,
which have a chorusy, 80s guitar sort of timbre. Track 3 follows the bass part, but an octave higher, and Track 4 harmonizes with it, playing the variation pictured above. Track 5 is just 2 different little audio clips, which I slowed down and reversed, and are used on the 9th beat rests to fill things a bit more.

Track 6 comes in sort of in the background,
with a beepy sort of synth part, which initially just hangs out on a C. After the first 2x around, it then begins a little ascending line in Cminor. Last up is Track 7, which is an arpeggiated synth that comes in playing some chords, beginning with a Cminor, to Abmaj, and finally a Bbsus2sus4. This track is also heavily compressed and sidechained to one of the hihats in Track 2, which helps it to feel more rhythmic. Without the sidechain compression, the arpeggiation made it WAY too obvious and overpowering.
