I wanted this have a sort of

Scarface-Single Synth/Orchestral vibe, which I think Track 2 accomplished. Track 1 is the bass part, which is actually what I began with, though I think it doesn't work particularly well. I wanted to include just to show how these things develop/change over time. Track 2 provides all the main chords, which I'll list below, with Tracks 3 and 4 adding a melody line and some more harmonies, respectively.

Listen to The Rise of Arianthus here.

We have 3 main parts,

(excluding the intro in Green), Light Blue, Red, and Pink. Our Light Blue sections repeat 2x each section, with each time through taking 16 bars. We begin on our tonic of Cmin, then move to an Abmajor, down to Eb major, then Fmin. The second time through, everything is the same except for the Fmin, which is turned into a major chord. With that new chord, we feel like things modulate with our next chord (Red section) of Gmin, up to an Abmajor again (which this time feels like a flat 2), then Bbmajor. When we reach the Pink section, we begin on Ebmajor, then down to our Flat Vii of Dbsus4, and then a Dbmaj (though the bass moves to a B, which was a mistake), before returning to the Light Blue section.

Track 3 provides a melody line

over the 2nd half of each Light Blue section (though the final time through, it continues over the whole thing), and over the entirety of the Red and Pink section. Finally we have Track 4, which adds another synth to our harmony layer, mostly alternating between root notes and 5ths and the occasional 3rd. It also swells towards the end of each 2 measure part, which adds some more dynamic variability.

I hope you enjoy the beginnings of this song! I'll definitely be using this progression, not sure if these specific instruments will make the final cut, we shall see!
