Song of the Day - Ragunda by Matthesis

Matthesis has been on my radar for a while now. Usually, it’s for his brand of synth laden house and techno. He’s just got this richness in sound and melodic flair that speaks to me on the occasion. His song Maass from earlier this year is a firm example why. Luckily for us his latest album takes this to a different level emphasizing the synths and removing the beats for an album that feels more Jean Michael Jarre than techno. Ragunda is a highlight here, with noisy stabs providing a structure while synths swirl psychedelically around it. Excellent track from fantastic album.
