Song of the Day - My Queen is Albertina Sisula by Sons Of Kemet
Something a little different from me today. It has certainly been a rest day for me from working out and with college starting up again, it has been time to work through a sizable backlog of music that I hadn't quite digested.
Tonight's listen was from a genre that I don't often dive into: Jazz. It's a genre that often is in tough spot for me musically with much of what is accessible being rather boring outside of a live situation and much of what is interesting rarely catching me when I'm in the mood for it. Tonight though this album as a whole resonated with me. Interesting horn work and a energetic vibe. Here is my highlight from the album. 5 minutes of great drums and grooves for a lazy evening.
