Songs You Should Avoid from Listening to When Moving On from a Heartbreak

in #music6 years ago (edited)

Moving on is the next phase after a heartbreak. There might still be a feeling of sadness, and still hoping to go back together but there's no assurance. But if you are determined to move on, you will painstakingly face it and eventually overcome those pains.

There are a lot of heartbreak songs, but if you really want to move on, why listen to such? In fact, there area a lot of heartbreak songs which has so much bitterness that instead of moving on, you will be stuck on the pain and remain bitter. I still think those songs are great, but if you are moving on and ease the pain, I think you should try to avoid these songs.

One Last Cry by Brian McKnight

Admit it, this is one of the memorable heartbreak songs. Telling yourself simply that it will be the one last cry is actually not helping. Crying after he heartbreak is normal. Telling someone to leave all behind is good, but in fact you still care.

You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette

This is one of the bitter-est heartbreak songs ever! A sort of a revenge for telling your ex you are back to remind him/her of what he/she did. So if yo really want yo move on, you'll try not to live in bitterness.

Foolish by Ashanti

It is very obvious at the title. It is surely something you don't want to become when moving on, because you'll still long to come back to your former love.

Tons of Adele songs

Adele was known for her heartbreak songs particularly from 21 album. It is like a rollercoaster ride of emotions after a heartbreak when listening to the album. There is so much pain, longing, anger, begging, and vengeful. How could you move one when listening to such words?

Ex-factor by Lauryn Hill

You've been hurt a lot of times, yet you are staying. This song perfectly describes a person who's already manipulated and emotionally abused despite being deceived by a former love. The good thing? The character decided not to stay considering its title with ex. One of the masterpieces by Lauryn Hill though.

How about you guys? What can you suggest not to listen to when trying to move on from a heartbreak?
