DJ Pone / Thomas Parent
Thomas Parent was born and raised in Meaux , in Seine-et-Marne 4 . During his adolescence, he mixes usually in his room after school to college Henry IV and high school Gué to Tresmes to Congis-sur-Thérouanne , where he spent a BA in applied arts 4 . Regarding his attraction to the mixers, he explains: "I answered a rap question on the local radio of the time, RM7, on which DJ Damage mixed. It was a very specific show on hip-hop. I had the right to visit the radio, Square de la Beauce, in Beauval. And there, I cracked on the dexterity of DJ Damage 4 . " He leaves later Meaux Parisat the age of 23 4 .
In 2000, he became European solo and team world champion at the Disco Mix Club (DMC) 4 . In the early 2000s , he formed Birdy Nam Nam with Crazy B , Little Mike , and DJ Need 5 . Their name is inspired by Peter Sellers' film The Party, released in 1968 5 . The group won the DMC in 2002 before embarking on a first studio album 5 , but without DJ Pone, package for individual competition. Their first album, also titled Birdy Nam Nam, is released on the Uncivilized World label in 2005, and mixes jazz , funk , and downtempo 5 sounds . In 2005, meanwhile, DJ Pone participates in movie Sheitan from Kim Chapiron , released in 2005 6 .
In 2014, he released his first solo EP entitled Erratic Impulses 7 . Also in 2014, he founded a new project with Jose, the singer of Stuck in the Sound, called Sarh. In an interview, he explains that "Sarh is the name of the city where the father of José 8 was born . " It Scratch at the end of the clip TIME BOMB of Nekfeu , published in 2014 9 . On February 28, 2016, he plays on the radio Novorama 10 . On October 21st, 2016, Radiant released his first solo album. On June 8, 2017, DJ Pone returns with the Svinkels for a concert at New Morning. Gérard Basteannounces on this occasion that the group will play at the Olympia in April 2018 .
