leaky buckets

A day late for Philbo's birthday i met him at the train station with bunches of balloons the colour of acid rave, monster party hats, and a bottle of cheap fizz. We were off to a Leaky Buckets gig for a post birthday bash but the fizz clearly was gonna remain unpopped as Phil's liver was crying and his hangover hue matched the balloons. No worries Mr Basgallop was on his way with cheap, nasty feather boa's and a promised barefoot stomp to the Buckets. A flash of his cheeky grin and Philbo was up and swaying to the dad rock.

Leaky Buckets are the fulfilment of a 49 year old dream. Two 21 year olds came up with the name back in the late 60's and it only took until early retirement to action their dream of rock stardom. OAPs with attitude and no musical skills meant picking up and playing instruments for the first time when the arthritis was strong and backs had already gone . With daughter May on vocals and a chance encounter with a nomad called Max looking for lodging/skill swap a covers band came together and now regularly fill out the local farm village hall.
