MY PIANO, MY RIFLE
I wonder and most times seek for answers, if there was no musical instrument like the piano, what would the pianists do?. Don't answer yet, pause for a while, take a deep breath and consider a military personnel on a war front weapon his weapon “the rifle”.
The piano keys arranged on a flat board (black and white keys) has become the greatest music maker. The piano is the mother of all musical instruments (with due respect to other musical instruments).
This short article is written to encourage pianists or organists to see the piano or organ as their rifle. The pianist or organist deserves compliments in both the areas of sight reading and actual piano playing.
In order for a soldier to survive war, proper handling of his rifle in defending himself is paramount. Make your piano your best man and he will never depart from you. Give your piano the kind of attention you'll give someone you are in love with. But the piano is somehow better than a lover because the piano will never leave you if you stick with it.
