PRACTISE MAKES PERFECT
The great king of POP, Michael Jackson in one of his speeches stressed that before he became such a great dancer that he used to practice for at least eight hours every day.
Looking at such a talented performer, one could wonder if there was any need for practicing. My answer would be “yes” because through practise comes perfection. We have come across the phrase ”practice makes perfect” in almost every aspect of our daily lives and experiences.
Practice means doing an activity or training regularly in order to improve skill. This could be both physical and mental. In art and performance, mental practise can also be called mind rehearsals. The purpose of this article is to encourage people by reminding them that if you do an activity regularly trying to improve your skill, that you will definitely become good at it.
Many in our society today have neglected practise even when the opportunity presents itself always. Musical instrumentalists give so many excuses to why they can't make out time for practise and this is why so many keep drifting backward instead of moving forward. Through practising, one discovers so many new things and concepts.
Through practising, confidence is built because one is sure to perform extremely well at any point in time he/she is called upon. Practise also gives room for mistake and correction, but this is not the case in life performances and events.
So many wish to be great in life, so many wish to attain great heights and live the big dream but just a few are willing to carry out the necessary sacrifices for this prize. Practise is the key to success in any field of life be it music, teaching, medicine or law. If competence is required of you in your chosen field, then practise is vital.
