The innovative head of AILERON neck can become a new standard for electric guitars

in #music5 years ago (edited)

Morifone Guitars has announced a new leader of its line of electric guitars. While other manufacturers are trying to stand out against the general background through the use of exotic materials and sophisticated electronics, in a model of Morifone Guitars Quarzo, the Canadian company decided to focus on creating an innovative neck head.

It would seem that it is difficult to invent something new in this matter, because during the long years of development of the #guitar market a wide variety of variants of this element were created. Most large companies take the time-tested form as a basis and give it their own individuality, but the guys from Morifone Guitars are not one of them. The result of the research was the appearance of the Aileron guitar head, whose unusual shape was invented for a reason.

Due to the “winged” design of the head, instrument sounds more saturated and better keeps its build. Canadians promise that Aileron minimizes the bounce of strings and provides a smoother band performance. In addition, the unusual shape eliminates the contact of the spike mechanism in cases when the instrument lies on a flat surface. The head design saves from situations when an awkward movement changes the tension of the strings.

The Quarzo electric guitar itself is based on the #Gibson 1959 Burst specs: a maple top, a deck and a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard. The combination is quite familiar, ubiquitous and well-known to guitarists. As the developers say, it is the innovative head of the Aileron neck that gives the classics proven over the years a completely new sound.

If the loud statements of Canadians turn out to be true, then Morifone Guitars will have huge chances to introduce a new standard for guitar construction. In addition, in the case of the popularity and usefulness of the solution, large manufacturers may think that the combination of classics and innovations does not always lead to failure.
