Zoom LiveTrak L-20R Portable Recorder for bands that play live

Zoom unveiled a portable rack-mountable digital recorder and mixer LiveTrak L-20R. The device is designed specifically for musical groups, often performing live, and offers a number of features that will be useful to performers.

The L-20R is equipped with 16 microphone mono inputs and two stereo inputs. Each channel received its own 3-band equalizer, panorama control, compressor. Especially for working with effects, there are two EFX tires.

Musicians are offered master outputs of the left and right channels, as well as six independent monitor outputs. Thanks to this, each team member on the stage can get an individual mix. The sound of the mixes is configured remotely via an iPad application (even with the recently announced iPadOS), while the musicians can independently adjust their mix if they have a tablet on hand.

Speeches and performance can be recorded on an SD card: up to 20 channels can be captured simultaneously, not counting the resulting stereo mix. By connecting the L-20R to a computer on Windows or macOS, the musicians will have at their disposal a USB audio interface with 22 inputs and 4 outputs.
