Over a year ago, @verbal-d wrote this masterpiece. He released it on steemit with the help of his brother-in-law @sirwinchester, and soon, it was inspirational! It is "The Song That Inspired The Steemit Open Mic Contest!"
As many of you know, @luzcypher has been running an Open Mic Contest on steemit for one year now with the help of @pfunk and some others. This was the song that inspired @luzcypher to start the Open Contest. As he said over one year ago, "The other day I saw a great post that inspired an idea for a weekly contest on Steemit."
The post that he was referring to was this one that featured the first version of the song that you are about to hear. To celebrate one full year of the steemit Open Mic Contest, @verbal-d asked me to join in on the hook and had @edgarstudio mix and master it! After hearing the song when it first came out and knowing how inspirational it was, I was happy to jump in and help out. Now, here it is for your listening pleasure!

Ha ha, no doubt man. It's going to be really amazing to look back at this time in 3, 5, 10 years....wonder what things will look like then in the social media world? I'm glad our collaboration is stamped on the blockchain! That is my goal I am gonna be selling my photography art projects while promoting steemit and I am gonna have a sign up list for those who want to take a class I am gonna offer on how to steemit and intro to crypto currency. I had a t-shirt made and a banner too.

Next year I hope to have a studio on our land we are currently building a house there, and I dream of opening a portrait studio so I can work doing that year round right now my portrait portion of my business is location shoots only but I will get to where I want to be.

Thank you very much @frostyamber for listening and expressing how much you liked the song. What a compliment. I am so glad you asked that question about the length of time, I was extremely inspired and motivated to write a song for Steemit when I had first joined over a year ago when I realized how groundbreaking, and innovative this platform was as a whole for us content creators and curators. I would say the total length of time was around 2-3 weeks or so, perfecting and editing in nuances and wordplay and references to what I was learning about the crypto knowledge surrounding Steemit at the time. Some songs take day or three, others take weeks or months, or even a year or two. But this was not too difficult, even though I was just getting the hang of the whole minnow term, the different tiers and the whole experience and I just thought I would map it all out nicely with some oceanic references as well. I am really happy with how it came out, so glad you love it. Music is a gift to share, have a wonderful day too.
