The music machine
Salutations steemians!
Today we're going to take you way back...
To the time before mp3's, before cd's, before cassette tapes...
There was the 8 track!
A relic in today's standard view of technology,
but not too long ago, this was a cool new way of listening to music.
8 track players were found in homes, in cars, they even had portable players!
And yes, pocket sized catalogues to order music !!
I started collecting these since some of my family members passed away, I figured I was lucky enough to have a chance to listen to what was precious to their eyes, the music that shaped their youth, the music they could not bring with them but still that they kept all these years for me to find and rediscover once again.
In those days things were built to last, they were bulky but solid, simple yet durable.
Quelques trouvailles... Dont la fameuse soirée Québécoise du temps des fêtes ;)
8 track cassettes look so darn cool!
Yes indeed! We made some cool discoveries too, there were a few bands we had never heard of like this one: ( I think you guys will enjoy this video! )
Woah :D thats pretty awesome...
My first car had an under the dash 8 track player that I put in it. Back about 1975... :-)
That so cool amber! Just curious, what kind of car did you have in those days?
