Tenochtitlan is a doom folk/ethnic metal band, founded in 2004 by four talented musicians from four different bands, from different Russian towns. So Tenochtitlan is exclusively studio project.

Группа Tenochtitlan состоит из музыкантов, которые являются постоянными участниками других команд (Ethnica, Senmuth, ne-Nasty и Sea Of Desperation), поэтому сам Tenochtitlan проект исключительно студийный, правильней даже сказать виртуальный. Что объединило всех этих людей из разных групп и городов? Близкая дружба? Желание вместе играть "ацтекский фолк"? Сейчас, по прошествии пятнадцати лет, никто уже не вспомнит. Однако сомнительно, что идея, позаимствованная у позднего "Бегемота", способна сплотить людей, проживающих вдалеке друг от друга. Думается, у возникновения Tenochtitlan причина иная, внутренняя. Хотя во всех интервью парни настойчиво напирают именно на общий интерес к сказочной истории и культуре Мезоамерики. Что ж, когда соучастники так четко придерживаются общей версии, следователям остается лишь сделать вид, что они верят.
