5 Rare Songs From The Doors You Should Really Listen To

Good afternoon, fellow steem users from all across the world! Today I decided to write a brief article on five rare songs of The Doors you should really listen to.

Since I would like to keep it as simple as possible, I will just enlist the five songs down below and mention on which discographical material they actually feature. So, without any further ado, let's get to it!

1. Mystery Train/Crossroads (meddle)

2. Orange County Suite (previously unreleased)

For those out there who don't know, Orange County Suite is a piece that got released on the 40th anniversary of L.A. Woman from 1971.

3. Little Red Rooster

Little Red Rooster is yet another blues standard by Willie Dixon that the band decided to cover while performing live. The song features on 'Live at the Hollywood Bowl'.

4. The Mosquito

One of the few post-Morrison songs of The Doors that actually got a certain degree of popularity as a single in the Dutch, German, and Austrian charts. French artist Joe Dassin would subsequently adapt this song in French. 'The Mosquito' is the 6th track on side B of the studio album 'Full Circle' from 1972, released one year after Jim's death.

5. Verdillac

'Verdillac' is another song off 'Full Circle'. An extremely underrated tune, on it keyboardist Ray Manzarek can actually be heard providing lead vocals from one end to the other.
