7-Day Wayback Music Challenge: Day 4- Sha ko mo by The Remedies
It's the fourth day of this challenge that i got nominated by @turpsy, and really it's been a very cool ride.
All foreign wayback without naija songs, makes lemmybe a dull boy
Today i bring to you the very beginning of naija's pop music culture. Arguably, the reshaping, the redefinition and the emergence into real music in Nigeria started right from this age. The trio of Eedris Abdulkareem, Tony Tetuila and Eddy Remedy (out of many others like the plantashun boiz) reshaped Nigerian music by delving into what has never been done before.
Like i wrote here last year, they took the first step in putting Nigeria on music's global map with this song which later paved the way for the wizkids, the dbanj's and bankyW's later who now dominate international scenes.
Without further ado, I will like to pass on this challenge to @ehiboss whom i know would also have lots of'em in his archive.
The rules are...
[1] Choose one song from your high-school/college years.
[2] Write a few words about who made you listen to this song for the first time, what this song means to you (was it a breakup song? you blasted it at 100% on your audio system when you were partying with your friends?) whatever you want.
[3] Write your text while listening to the song. As soon as the song ends, wrap up what you where writing and submit it.
[4] Do this for 7 days in a row if you get nominated
[5] Mention one person who should do this on each day.
[6] Tag it with #musicwaybackchallenge and include these rules at the bottom of your post

Yes bro, you are right. I remember when this music was on air always. I am surprised that young artists now make fun of many of these guys.
Don't mind them, some of these folks don't know that a river that forgets it's source is bound to dry up. These first generation of pop singers deserve some accolades jare.
I tell you. They deserve some accolades transmission. Lol
