7 Day Wayback Music Challenge (4) - 四季ノ唄

Back in high school I was a big anime fan. Actually, I don't like most anime music genres but there are definitely some exceptions. One of those exceptions is Japanese hip hop :D. I think 四季ノ唄 = song of the four season by Nujabes (arrangement) and Minmi (lyrics) must be the first time I heard this genre:

It is actually the outro song of an extremely cool anime called Samurai Champloo (which is a must-see). The first time I heard this song was probably when they aired it. The singer mourns for a lost love, and as the title of the song suggests, she sings about her emotions as the four seasons of each year pass. Every season is different but she still continues to count the days in hope of a future reunion. I guess in a sense it summarizes the 頑張りますーmentality (persistence through hardships) of the Japanese. Which is pretty similar to my family's don't bitch motto :P

Rules

• Choose one song from your high-school/college years.
• Write a few words about who made you listen to this song for the first time, what this song means to you (was it a breakup song? you blasted it at 100% on your audio system when you were partying with your friends?) whatever you want.
• Write your text while listening to the song. As soon as the song ends, wrap up what you where writing and submit it. Do this for 7 days in a row if you get nominated.
• Mention one person who should do this on each day.
• Tag it with #musicwaybackchallenge and include these rules at the bottom of your post.
