Satin is present on tuxedo suits in places like the lapels which is commonly known as the tuxedo collar, pockets, arms, and also present on the  trousers. There is a satin piping on the trousers, which matches the lapels. Another difference between them is the color they are made in.  Most tuxedos are made in dark colors like black and dark blue.A tuxedo shouldn't be worn before 5pm and is frowned upon in the UK if you break the unwritten law.

Suits are made from the same material and don't have satin present like the tuxedo. A suit is less formal and colors are varied. A suit is formal but not as formal as a tuxedo.
