Your answers doesn't have to be necessarily long before you get curated on musing but it must contain be of high "quality" and explicit enough for proper understanding and comprehension. Sometimes, you may observe a very short answer getting high curating rewards than a very long one because the short one may contain the more quality write up than the long ones.

It is also very important to elaborate more on your answers just to enable the questioner and curators understand your point. If you were to be a curator, whom do you think deserves to be upvoted more amongst the below posts?

Questioner : What is Musing all about?

Answer by Mr A : Musing is a Q and A platform.

Answer by Mr B : Musing is a Question and Answer platform built on steem blockchain which enables every user to get rewarded for asking questions and providing answers on the platform. This implies that you get rewarded with Steemit tokens (steem, SBD and SP) for your activities on the platform which involves asking questions and answering questions.

From the two answers provided, you can see how Mr A answer was so short but lacks quality and explanation compared to Mr B. I am sure you will end up upvoting Mr B because he answered the question correctly with quality explanation. This is one of the things the curating teams check out for. Some of them may be nice to upvote Mr A but Mr A will never get full upvote compared to Mr B.

Also, it is very important to avoid beating about the Bush just because you want to have long answer post without answering the required questions and you are hoping to get curated?

You might end up with low upvotes from Musing while others with short words earn very great rewards for that same question. You just have to be real to yourself and avoid answering questions you can't answer because you may end up wasting your time typing irrelevant text which is automatically rubbish.

Even most curators prefer not too long answers because there are lots of post to be read. Long posts sometimes get them irritated if it doesn't answers the question but it is very easy to read short posts or medium ones than very long posts when you aren't only the one whom provided answer to the question. I know of some musing users who provide short answer to questions and they still get upvoted from musing such as @nonsowrites, @julietisreal, @jlordc and many others. I also know of some users who provide long answers that explains the answer with high quality which makes them get full upvote from Musing even though I may fall into that category 😀😀.

We all have different ways of answering questions because we sometimes think differently and this means you have to stick to the style that you are good at. If your style isn't working for you, then try to learn from some great earners on musing as this will help you become one of them.

In conclusion, what matters most is how you answer the question with good quality write up either long or short but just make sure you answer questions with quality answers and not the greed for the reward or money.

Thanks for reading and I hope this helps.
