I don't know if it was my impression, but Musing, from the beginning had a flaw that had to do with the visible preference for some members and the tendency to value more some answers. I must admit that although on several occasions I had good votes, although not so good as to be among the best, I could never understand why I won the votes. A Dapp of questions and answers where the questions were not as well voted and the answers had to follow a script, I don't know how much future I have within steemit. However, and since we are in confessional plan, I miss Musing! I loved to read and answer certain kinds of questions. Maybe the idea is good, maybe the mistake was in the orientation. Good evening, @rok-sivante.

The idea was definitely good, and they did a great job on the UI.

When when a veteran Steemian with rep score 74 gets censored from the platform - I'm guessing because I tend to blaze through answering questions really quick, which may have triggered some sort of anti-spam bot; unless the "management" has personal beef and exercised their capacity to censor personally - and there's no one available to answer to why...

fuck that shit.

I don't know how much future I have within steemit

I've been wondering the same thing for a long time.

And stuff like this just reaffirms the doubt.

No wonder the professional crypto world doesn't take this project seriously.

Yes. I remember enjoying some of your short, simple, unadorned answers. Knowing within me that this was the only way to answer certain questions. But I also remember answering some of your questions with care and with the desire to delve deeper into the subject. Well, your post does that, too. I hope new and better Daap for steemit will come.

I don't get censoring anybody. They could've just not upvoted those answers they didn't like.

Did you get banned?

MY GUESS is that because I tend to blaze through answers questions super quick, some sort of anti-spam bot was triggered and banned my account.

Though there appears to be no one in the Discord that is around to answer ANY inquiries there, no replies from their blog... so cannot confirm.

I truly appreciate that feedback/acknowledgement.

It was a real pleasure bouncing back and forth between trolling dumb questioners with blunt reality-checks, spewing dirty & sarcastic humor, and deep insight where appropriate... though seems it wasn't a platform setup well-enough to ensure that kind of diverse & quality content doesn't get censored.

So disappointing.

But, to at least have my contributions there appreciated as you've expressed here adds some sweetness over the bitterness and is encouragement in its own to adjust strategy and keep going more here on Steemit, if nothing else... 🙏💗

I tend to agree with this. I think they had a tendency to prefer long-winded answers to shorter answers that were to the point.

I must admit that although on several occasions I had good votes, although not so good as to be among the best, I could never understand why I won the votes.

Oh this just opened my eyes to why some of my answers were not voted. If I’m not mistaken, there’s a particular marking scheme so to say to answers ? If yes then it’s really ridiculous to imagine that any answer not voted means one had failed the question.

The developers had not bothered to figure out any kind of a business plan apart from pocketing curation rewards from voting with the huge delegation from Steemit Inc. The app had no long-term future in sight. They should've been powering up the main account from the curation rewards at least partly. That would've allowed them to keep going. Now they were dead in the water when the delegation was pulled. Sadly.

I really wanted it to succeed. They just didn't have a good model while they had the delegation. There was supposedly a rubric the curators followed to determine what was a good answer. Personally, I just found a topic I felt I knew about and wrote. I was one of the lucky ones that did very well. Others saw the end coming before I did. Power downs and no SP added to the main account beyond the delegation. When that went away... It's too bad. It helped me grow my account. Something that is hard to do these days. I also miss reading your answers to the more knuckleheaded questions. It's amazing how many ways someone can ask if it is okay to sleep with their sister...

I also miss reading your answers to the more knuckleheaded questions.

And I miss sharing them. It became a great outlet for my inner troll.

Just goes to show that anyone who thinks Steem and its dapps are censorship-resistant are fooling themselves.

I actually missed musing a lot. More than a lot. When it firat started, i have this impression that there is a great future ahead for musing and surely one day, it is going to climb to top 3 of the dapp and will be well know around the world even more than quora which will surely attract new users to steemit because of that but i guess all of my hope just.....

I guess the downfall started when the delegated steem power was removed from them and it seems like ecerything is crumbling.

How i wish i have just like enough like 1 million steem power to delegate to musing back and i am sure they will resurrect.

I still believe one day, they are still going to resurrect back but that will need a lot of steem power for them to achieve my dream for them.

I still believe musing is not yet finally dead.

I hope my contribution is accepted

It's sad too because it had a huge amount of potential. Wish someone would buy it.

If anyone were able to get a hold of the "owners..." (I'd love to know how)

Yeah i have been thinking the same. Or you could make a website and just copy all their content on the same technical way they display it on musing. It's not their intellectual property since everything is just posted on the blockchain and then musing displays the same content on their website. You don't need to contact the owners. What you need is deep pockets and someone with the knowledge to program.

What happened?

My account got censored.

For what, can’t confirm since seems there’s no one actually running the site anymore.

And sounds it was going downhill before that with poor management, as per some of the other comments here.
